At Junction 12, exit the motorway and follow the N73 towards Mallow. After 15.5km, turn right on to the R522, then left on to the R581. The entrance to Doneraile Estate will be on your left. From Cork Take the N20 northbound from the city for 39km, then turn right on to the R581. Follow the road through the main street of Doneraile, and the entrance to Doneraile Estate will be on your right. From Limerick Take the N20 southbound through Patrickswell and Charleville for 45km, then take the left fork on to the R581.   • Accomodation, Weather & On-Site Facilities"
    What if it rains? This is an outdoor event, which will go ahead rail, hail or shine so please dress for the weather, for your comfort you may wish to bring blankets / cushions. Is camping or accommodation available? There is no camping or accommodation at either venue. Gates open at 12noon, last entry is at 8.00pm and the last performances finish at 9.30pm. Are there ATMs on site? There are no ATMs on site. Cash and card payments will be accepted on site by food traders (some traders are cash only).
  • Food, Drink & Alcohol"
    Can I bring my own food to Curious Gardens? You are most welcome to bring your own picnic to Curious Gardens. Glass is not permitted on site. Please put your rubbish in the bins on site and ‘leave no trace'. There will be food traders on site too - not all traders take cards so please bring cash too. Emo Court CaToCa Café Retro Food Tram serving Gilligan’s 8oz rib eye steak burger, mature Bandon Vale cheddar cheese, smoked bacon and Ballymaloe Country Relish served on a brioche bun, Stealth fries and steak burger and fries for kids as well as hot and cold drinks, snacks and pastries. The Fry Guys serving fresh scampi, lobster rolls and fish tacos. Paddy’s Pizza Pies serving wood-fired pizzas with the finest Irish and Italian ingredients. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available. Will there be a bar at Curious Gardens? There will be no bar on site at Doneraile Estate or Emo Court. Can I bring alcohol? We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Curious Gardens at Emo Court tomorrow. We are now in a position to make Curious Gardens at Emo Court a BYOB event. Please read below for the details on what you can and can’t bring! Each individual can bring: A maximum of 8 cans of beer or cider OR 1 bottle of wine decanted into a plastic or reusable bottle. No glasses or glass bottles are permitted anywhere on the festival grounds. No spirits (e.g. vodka, gin, whiskey etc) are permitted anywhere on the festival grounds. BYOB Alcohol Policy There will be a zero-tolerance approach to the consumption and / or sale of alcohol to minors. There will be a Challenge 21 policy at the entrance gate: please bring a photo ID with you (passport / driver’s license). Audience members who leave the event cannot re-enter with alcohol. The organisers will not tolerate excessive alcohol consumption. Alcohol can only be consumed at your Pod Table. Our security team will carry out checks at the entrances to ensure that no person is intoxicated on entry. Any person posing a potential threat or otherwise to members of the public or staff will be removed from the event site by our security team. Our security team will be briefed to monitor audience behaviour and identify people who appear to be intoxicated and whose behaviour may cause offence or harm to other patrons. Anyone found supplying alcohol for consumption by minors will be asked to leave the event immediately without re-admittance or refund. Anyone supplying an intoxicated person with alcohol will be warned of their actions. If the behaviour continues, they will be asked to leave the event immediately without re-admittance or refund. Glasses and glass bottles are prohibited at Curious Gardens. Wine should be decanted into a plastic or reusable bottle. Drinking water will be available at various locations around the site and will be suitably sign posted.
  • Tickets & Pods
    What ticket types are available? Tickets for each event are priced at €39 per person* and must be purchased in pods of 4 or 6. Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. A limited number of discounted family tickets (2 adults with up to 4 children under 12 for free) are available at €78*. *Includes €1 Booking Fee. Can I give my tickets to someone else? Your ticket is non-transferable. If you wish to change the name of the lead contact for your ticket, you must contact TakeYourSeats at info@takeyourseats.ie to change the lead contact name for your pod. Please bring photo ID, the lead contact ticket holder’s name and ID must match. What is a pod? A pod is a group of people who attend an event together as one group. Each pod will have a dedicated picnic bench for your time at Curious Gardens. Social distancing should be observed between pods and members of other pods on site. Do I need to buy a whole pod if I want to go by myself? Due to social distancing guidelines for outdoor festivals and live events, which are in place for the safety of all patrons, artists and crew members, and the seating arrangements and space available on site at Curious Gardens, we can only sell tickets in pods of 4 or 6. Is there an age restriction? Children and under 18s are welcome. All under 18s must be accompanied and supervised by a parent / guardian at all times. Children and under 18s must be accounted for in your pod when purchasing tickets. All patrons must bring photo ID. What happens if the event has to be cancelled due to Covid 19 restrictions? Tickets are non-refundable except in the event of government restrictions on outdoor events / mass gatherings due to Covid 19 that prevent the event from going ahead, in which case a full refund will be issued by our ticketing partner, TakeYourSeats, to the person who purchased the pod ticket.
  • Gate Times, Schedule & What To Expect"
    What can I expect at Curious Gardens? There will be two stages: one outdoor stage with a full programme of music and one marquee with a programme of talks, comedy and performances. There will also be a number of fun interactive art installations. You will have your own six-seater picnic table for your pod of 4 or 6, which will be in front of the music stage. Due to social distancing, seats for the programme of talks, comedy and performances in the marquee will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. There will be hot and cold drinks, snacks, confectionery and hot food available from a number of traders on site. What time can we arrive? Gates open at 12noon, last entry is at 8pm and the last performances finish at 9.30pm. When will the running order be announced? We will announce the running order on Monday 30 August here and on our social pages. Line-up and schedule subject to change.
  • Accessibility
    Is Curious Gardens wheelchair accessible? Doneraile Estate and Emo Court are wheelchair accessible and will have wheelchair accessible portaloos. The terrain is a mix of grass and gravel. Please contact our box office at info@takeyourseats.ie if you have mobility issues.
